The Fall Edit: Trends We’re Loving This Season

What we’re seeing, loving, and bringing home for Fall 2026

A new season always brings a shift in design, and this fall, we’re seeing interiors move toward spaces that feel warmer, richer, and more collected.

Fall 2026 isn’t about completely reinventing your home for the season. Instead, the trends we’re loving focus on layering character into what you already have — deeper colors, beautiful natural materials, traditional details, interesting silhouettes, and pieces that make a space feel as though it has evolved over time.

Here’s what’s catching our eye as we head into fall.

Brown Is the New Neutral

Warm browns continue to have a major moment, and fall is when they really shine. Chocolate, espresso, tobacco, cognac, camel, and warm wood tones are replacing some of the cooler grays and stark neutrals we’ve seen in years past.

We love these shades because they instantly add depth without feeling overly trendy. Whether it’s a rich brown sofa, an antique-inspired wood console, leather accents, or simply a few darker accessories, brown brings warmth and sophistication into a space.

A Return to Richer Color

Neutrals aren’t disappearing, but they’re getting warmer — and they’re being paired with more color.

Deep olive and mossy greens, oxblood and burgundy, dusty blues, muted mustards, and earthy reds are beginning to make their way into interiors. Instead of dominating an entire room, we’re seeing these shades layered through upholstery, drapery, artwork, rugs, and smaller accents.

The result feels cozy and seasonal without screaming fall décor.

Traditional Details Are Back

One of our favorite shifts is the return of traditional design — but with a more relaxed approach.

Pleated lampshades, skirted furniture, detailed millwork, classic patterns, vintage-inspired lighting, scalloped edges, and antique silhouettes are being mixed into otherwise fresh spaces.

Rather than choosing everything from one particular style, the trend is toward rooms that feel collected. A modern sofa can sit beside an antique chest. A traditional patterned rug can ground a contemporary coffee table. It’s the mix that makes the room interesting.

Pattern Is Getting Bolder

After years of very minimal interiors, pattern is making its way back into our homes.

Stripes, plaids, florals, checks, block prints, and small-scale traditional patterns are being layered together in a way that feels comfortable rather than overly coordinated.

Wallpaper continues to be one of our favorite ways to introduce pattern, especially in powder rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and smaller spaces where you can take a little more design risk.

Texture Over Perfection

This season, perfectly polished is taking a back seat to materials that have texture, variation, and character.

Think aged brass, unlacquered metals, natural stone, honed finishes, woven materials, linen, velvet, boucle, and woods where you can actually see the grain.

These materials bring something to a room that perfectly smooth finishes can't: personality.

And the best part? They tend to get even better with age.

Statement Lighting Is Staying

Lighting has become so much more than something functional.

Oversized pendants, sculptural chandeliers, decorative sconces, and lamps with interesting shades are becoming focal points of their own. We’re especially loving lighting that feels slightly unexpected — whether that’s an antique-inspired fixture in a modern kitchen or a playful lamp tucked into a more traditional room.

The right lighting can completely change the personality of a space.

The Collected Home

If there’s one trend tying everything together this fall, it’s the move toward homes that feel collected rather than decorated.

We’re seeing less interest in rooms where every piece perfectly matches and more interest in spaces that tell a story. Vintage mixed with new. High mixed with low. Family pieces alongside something you discovered last week.

It’s about choosing things because you love them — not simply because they fit into a specific design category.
